Leadership Weekend Wilderness 2014 Friendships Developed Timberwolf Lake 2014 Life Long Relationships CRUD WARS 2014

Building Relationships
Young Life Leaders reach out to teenagers with an extended hand in the hope of establishing friendships. Leaders go wherever kids are - at the school cafeteria, the mall, local concerts, the edge of football practice, local movie theaters, or a school play. They understand that being consistently present is the first step to earning a teenagers trust; all in all an opportunity to share the love of God.
Sharing Experiences
Young Life staff and volunteers are adults who care deeply about kids. These leaders journey alongside both high school and middle school kids through the triumphs, joys, heart-aches, and setbacks of adolescence. It’s in the day-to-day that leaders demonstrate God’s faithfulness through consistent love toward their teenage friends regardless of their choices, trials, and struggles.
Having Conversations
Leaders are intentional about making each kid feel like they are heard, listened to, valued, and understood. The aim is to really know each teenager – how they see life, what they feel, and what they think. Hopefully, leaders and teenagers can grow to process together any questions, frustrations, and/or life circumstances. It’s through this type of authentic dialogue that leaders strive to encourage their teenage friends to consider the full truths, promises, and person of Jesus Christ.

Young Life is a world-class organization for adolescents. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them - fun, adventure, frienship and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we think matters most of all - the truth about God and His love for us.
